Ronald A. Stewart, D.O. //
Internal Medicine
Dr. Ronald Stewart is the founder of McCart Medical Associates, a Christian based clinic, and has practiced Internal Medicine in Fort Worth, Texas since 1995. He is currently in practice with his sister, Dr. Angelene Stewart. He graduated from Oklahoma State University - College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery, (D.O.), and completed residency in Internal Medicine at the University of California - San Francisco (Fresno Affiliate; M.D.), having earned dual training in the field of medicine. In addition to practicing Family, Internal, and General medicine, Dr. Stewart's areas of medical concentration include diabetes, gastroenterology, and hypertension. Dr. Stewart has shared his medical expertise both on television and in print, and has traveled the globe providing medical care with medical ministry teams and with colleagues. Dr. Ronald Stewart is also an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine at the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth (UNT-HSC), and has been recognized annually as an 'Outstanding Preceptor.'
Dr. Stewart married his college sweetheart, Selwyn Stewart, and they have one daughter and two amazing grandchildren.
Angelene M. Stewart, D.O. //
Internal Medicine
Dr. Angelene M. Stewart is co-founder of McCart Medical Associates and has practiced Internal Medicine in Fort Worth since 1996. She joined her brother, Dr. Ronald Stewart, at McCart Medical Associates in 1997. Dr. Angelene Stewart graduated from Oklahoma State University - College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery, (D.O.), and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine - Tulsa (M.D.), also bringing a unique perspective of dual training (D.O. and M.D.) within the field of medicine. Dr. A. Stewart's areas of medical concentration includes diabetes, hypertension, geriatrics, and weight management. She has traveled the globe providing medical care, has offered her medical expertise as the head of Medical Ministry partnerships with churches and local agencies. She has served as the Associate Director of various home health agencies and nursing homes. Dr. Angelene Stewart is also an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine at the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth (UNT-HSC) and has been recognized yearly as an 'Outstanding Preceptor.' Dr. Angelene Stewart had been a medical contributor of health and wellness articles to local publications for a number of years. She has two fantastic daughters and enjoys traveling worldwide, and family.
Vimala Ravi // FNP-BC
Vimala Ravi is a Family Nurse Practitioner, Board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), and licensed by the state of Texas. Vimala Ravi, popularly called “Vima” in our office, began her nursing career in 1990. She graduated from the University of Texas- Arlington (UTA) earning both her Bachelor’s and Masters Degree in Nursing. Vima has extensive experience in Family Medicine, including women's and children's health. Vima has over 26 years of experience providing medical care, including having been a midwife in India.
Vima respects patient’s values, and listens to the needs of each patient with compassion, empathy and concern. She provides family-centered care with profound experience, and leads with clinical expertise in diagnosing and treating health conditions. Vima places added emphasis on disease prevention and health management.
LaKeisha Alexander // FNP-C
LaKeisha Alexander is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 20 years of experience in healthcare. She obtained a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from the University of Texas at Arlington, (UTA), and in 2007, graduated from Walden University, having earned her Master of Science in Nursing Degree. Her extensive medical background includes medical-surgical, neurology, post-partum, orthopedics, Phase II Recovery and Same Day Surgical Services. She holds national certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Life Support and NIHSS Stroke Scale.
LaKeisha is compassionate about healthcare and caring for others. She maintains clear, open lines of communication with patients and involves patients in the decision making process. LaKeisha is an active listener and takes time to establish rapport with her patients so that she can better understand their needs. LaKeisha enjoys recreational activities, sporting events, and spending time outdoors. She loves cooking and trying new recipes.
Tierra Love // FNP-C
Tierra Love is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner via the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She obtained a Bachelor's in Nursing degree from Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth, Texas, where she was also commissioned into the United States Army Nurse Corps. She has served on active duty nearly 5 years, and has continued serving in the United States Army Reserve for 6 years. In 2021, Tierra earned her Master's of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas - Arlington.
Tierra possesses over 10 years' experience in medical/surgical nursing, postpartum care, pediatrics, and post-anesthesia care. She has also acquired additional training through completion of a residency through the
VA North Texas. She believes in health promotion, and that "small changes add up to make a big difference!" She has been married for 9 years, and has a young son. She enjoys reading, Marvel movies, the Christmas season, and fitness.
Selwyn Stewart // Senior Business Administrator
Mrs. Selwyn Stewart has been with McCart Medical Associates for over 20 years, and is the primary accountant and finance manager for McCart Medical Associates. In addition to managing the finances and business operations of the medical office, she plays a critical role in the organization and implementation of community benefits and outreach for McCart Medical Associates and partnering organizations. She is married to Dr. Ronald Stewart, and the two share a beautiful family together.
April Martinez // Office Manager
Mrs. April Martinez has been with McCart Medical Associates for over 18 years, and serves McCart Medical Associates as the general office manager, overseeing daily front office operations of the practice. In addition, Mrs. Martinez functions as the senior billing manager, and is also trained as a Medical Assistant.
